Concierge Resume 2026 - hotel and residential sample with request numbers free

Concierge is one job title covering four different jobs, and a resume that does not pick one reads as a resume from somebody who has not done any of them. A luxury hotel concierge sources a table that is fully committed, rebuilds a ruined itinerary at eleven at night and keeps a preference profile good enough that a returning guest never has to ask twice. A residential concierge runs access control, a package room and a visitor log for people who live there, which is a security and logistics job wearing a service uniform. A corporate concierge is an internal travel and errand desk. A hospital concierge walks frightened families to the right department. All four are judged on the same underlying thing - requests handled, how many were closed without escalation, and what the guest or resident said afterwards - but the tools, the hours and the risks are not the same. Choose your lane in the first line of the resume, then prove it with volume, systems and languages.

Concierge resume sample

The order a director of rooms or a property manager reads in fifteen seconds: which lane you work in, request volume and how you tracked it, the systems you operate, languages, and what happened when something went wrong.

Lane stated in the title line

Hotel concierge, residential concierge, corporate concierge or chef concierge. A building looking for someone to run a package room and a visitor log will not read three paragraphs about restaurant sourcing, and a Forbes-rated hotel will not hire someone whose evidence is all fire panel checks.

Requests counted, not described

Requests handled per shift, the share closed at the desk without escalation, and the mix - dining, transport, tickets, deliveries, access. Volume is the only honest proof that you worked a busy desk rather than a quiet lobby.

Systems named exactly

OPERA or OPERA Cloud, OnQ, Infor HMS, Agilysys for the property system, and ALICE, HotSOS or Quore for request tracking. Properties filter on these, because training someone onto a new system costs weeks.

ATS friendly

Hotel groups and residential management companies both recruit through applicant tracking systems. Single column, standard headings, languages as their own plain text lines, no photo, no tables, and no graphic skill bars - a bar chart of 'French: 80%' parses as the word French and nothing else.

Sample resume text

Use it as a reference: keep the structure and wording, put in your own facts and numbers.

Profile

Concierge profile summary

Four lines at most: your lane, the kind of property and its size, request volume per shift, the systems you run, your languages, and one piece of evidence about outcomes - a guest satisfaction mention rate, a service recovery result, or a repeat-guest preference program you built. Property size matters more than people think: a 90-key boutique and a 1,200-key convention hotel are different operations, and a 300-unit high-rise with a loading dock is different from a 40-unit building where you also take out the recycling.

Languages belong in the summary, not buried at the bottom. In most markets they are the single most filterable thing about a concierge, and a second or third language at genuine working level often decides the shortlist before anybody reads a bullet point. State the level honestly - fluent, professional working, conversational - because the interview will test it.

WeakPassionate hospitality professional with excellent communication skills and a love of helping guests. Highly organized team player seeking a concierge position at a prestigious property.

Tip
Put property size and request volume in the first sentence. Everything else on a concierge resume is a claim about judgment, and volume is the only part a manager can picture immediately.
Skills

Concierge skills for a resume

Request handling and tracking, local sourcing, access and package control for residential work, and the systems that record all of it. Name the property management system and the request platform separately - they are different tools and postings ask for both.

Hard skills

  • Property management systems: OPERA and OPERA Cloud, OnQ, Infor HMS, Agilysys, Maestro - profile lookup, notes, traces and billing posts
  • Guest request and work order platforms: ALICE, HotSOS, Quore - logging, routing, escalation and closing with resolution notes
  • Guest preference profiles: recording dietary needs, room preferences, anniversaries and transport habits so a returning guest is recognized without asking
  • Dining sourcing and reservation management, including waitlist strategy, timing of calls and how to hold a table you do not yet have
  • Ticketing and experience sourcing: theater, sport, tours and private guides, including commission handling and disclosure where the property requires it
  • Transport coordination: house car dispatch, chauffeur and black car bookings, airport meet and greet, private aviation handovers and FBO timing
  • Luggage, package and courier logistics: bell coordination, storage tagging, forwarding, package room intake and release, chain of custody for high-value items
  • Residential access control: visitor logs, contractor sign-in, key and fob control, elevator and loading dock scheduling, move-in and move-out coordination
  • Life safety awareness for residential and hotel posts: fire alarm panel annunciation, evacuation procedure, emergency call trees, first aid and CPR currency
  • Service standards and inspection criteria: AAA Diamond and Forbes Travel Guide service expectations, log book handover, shift pass-down and incident documentation

Soft skills

  • Saying no to an impossible request in a way that leaves the guest with a better option than the one they asked for
  • Holding four open requests in your head while a fifth person stands in front of you
  • Discretion about who is in the building and who they are with, without exception and without hints
  • Rebuilding an evening from scratch when a flight, a show or a road closure destroys the plan
  • Reading whether a guest wants conversation or wants to be left alone
  • Keeping an unfailingly calm register with a resident who is angry about a package every week
  • Handing over cleanly at shift change so the incoming concierge inherits context, not surprises
  • Asking a supplier for a favour you will have to repay, and tracking what you owe
  • Spending recovery budget decisively and then writing down why
  • Noticing the person in the lobby who does not belong there and acting without making a scene
Experience

How to write concierge experience

Formula: volume plus system plus outcome plus one named situation. 'Assisted guests with requests and recommendations' is the job description. Requests per shift, where they were logged, the share you resolved without escalating, and one specific recovery - a lost reservation rebuilt, a medical escort arranged, a wedding party rerouted - is what makes a director of rooms stop scanning.

Separate the trust duties out. Key and fob control, package room accountability, cash float for guest errands, house car dispatch authority, overnight sole coverage and recovery spend limits are all responsibilities somebody had to decide to give you. On a residential resume they carry more weight than any amount of warm language about service, because they are the parts that cost money when they go wrong.

Weak- Provided information and recommendations to hotel guests, made restaurant reservations and arranged transportation as needed.
Strong- Handled 55 to 70 requests a shift at the concierge desk of a 420-key property, logged in ALICE with 88% closed without escalation, including 20 to 25 dining bookings a day and daily house car dispatch for up to 14 runs; during a three-day stadium closure, rebuilt 9 guest itineraries and secured alternative transport with no canceled reservations and 4 written compliments.
What to include
Property type and key or unit count - requests per shift and the mix - request platform and PMS by name - share closed at the desk - languages and level - trust duties: keys, packages, float, house car, overnight sole cover - one named recovery - guest mentions or survey evidence.
Education

Education, membership and training

There is no license to be a concierge, which is exactly why the recognition that does exist carries weight. Les Clefs d'Or, the golden keys worn on the lapel, is a vetted international membership for hotel concierges: it requires several years of work specifically at a hotel concierge desk plus letters of recommendation and endorsement from existing members, and it is granted through a national section rather than bought. If you are a member, or in the process, it belongs at the top of this section. If you are not, do not imply it - the community is small and it will be checked in a phone call.

  • Les Clefs d'Or membership or candidacy, with the national section and year - never claim or imply it otherwise
  • Hospitality management degree or diploma, or any post-secondary qualification, in a single line
  • Brand service training completed, named: service standards programs, guest recognition and loyalty program training
  • Property system certifications or completed training on OPERA, OnQ, ALICE, HotSOS or Quore, with the year
  • First aid, CPR and AED currency, and naloxone or emergency response training where your property provides it
  • Fire safety and life safety training for residential buildings, including any local fire safety director or equivalent certificate your city requires
  • Languages, each with an honest level, plus any formal language qualification you hold
  • Alcohol service certification where the post involves it, and a valid driver's license where house car driving is part of the job
Careful
Never name a guest or resident on a resume, not even a flattering story about a famous one. Discretion is the whole product in this profession, and a resume that trades on a name proves you do not have it.
No experience

Concierge resume with no concierge experience

Almost nobody starts at a concierge desk. The usual routes in are front desk agent, bell or door attendant, guest services, a residential front desk or doorman post, or a strong background in a role where you were trusted with access, keys and other people's problems. Write the resume from that experience with the concierge framing applied on top.

What a hiring manager is testing is whether you can be left alone in a lobby. So lead with the parts of your current work that prove exactly that: sole coverage, keys and access, a float or package accountability, volume of people you dealt with per shift, and problems that ended with you rather than being passed upward. Local knowledge is the other half - if you know the city you are applying in, say so concretely, because a concierge who has to look everything up is slow in a role where speed is the whole value.

  • Sole or overnight coverage of a desk, lobby or building, with the hours and the headcount you covered for
  • Access and key responsibility: fob or key control, visitor logs, contractor sign-in, package intake and release volumes
  • People volume per shift and the kind of problems you resolved without escalating
  • Languages at honest levels, and any customer base you served in a second language
  • Local knowledge stated concretely: the neighbourhoods, venues, transport and event calendar you actually know

Mistakes

Common mistakes

One resume sent to hotels and residential buildings alike

They want different evidence. A hotel wants sourcing, itineraries, preference profiles and guest survey results. A building wants access control, package accountability, contractor and move coordination and incident logs. Sending the same page to both means neither reads convincingly.

Requests described but never counted

'Handled a high volume of guest requests' is unfalsifiable. Requests per shift, the mix, and the share closed at the desk tell a manager whether you worked a real desk, and how fast.

No systems named

A concierge who has never named a property management system or a request platform looks like somebody describing the job from the outside. Name them exactly as the posting names them, and keep PMS and request tracking as separate entries.

Languages buried or inflated

Languages belong in the summary with an honest level. Listing a language you cannot hold a reservation call in is the fastest way to lose a luxury interview, because the test is a phone call, not a question.

Les Clefs d'Or implied without membership

Writing 'golden keys standard' or putting a key icon on the resume when you are not a member reads as a claim. It is a small profession and members talk. Say candidacy if you are a candidate, and nothing if you are not.

A designed layout the screening system cannot read

Two-column layouts, icon rows and language rating bars scramble in parsing. Hotel groups and property management companies both recruit at volume through applicant tracking systems, and a scrambled resume never reaches the director of rooms at all.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Which kind of concierge you are, stated in the title line, followed immediately by property size and request volume. Hotel, residential, corporate and hospital concierge work share a title and almost nothing else, so a manager's first question is whether you have done their version of the job. After that, request volume per shift is the fastest proof that you worked a busy desk, because a quiet lobby and a convention hotel produce very different numbers and both show up honestly.
No, and most working concierges are not members. It is a vetted international membership for hotel concierges requiring several years specifically at a hotel concierge desk, letters of recommendation and endorsement from existing members, granted through a national section. For luxury properties it is a strong differentiator and for many other properties it is simply not expected. What matters is that you never imply membership you do not hold - the community is small and it will be verified informally.
Lead with the things that cost the building money when they fail: visitor and contractor logs, key and fob control, package room volume and release procedure, elevator and loading dock scheduling for moves, and incident documentation. Add unit count and whether you cover alone, especially overnight. Then add life safety - alarm panel familiarity, evacuation procedure and any fire safety certificate your city requires. Dining recommendations matter far less than access control here.
Separate the property management system from the request tracking platform, because postings ask for both and a parser matches literal strings. On the PMS side, OPERA and OPERA Cloud, OnQ, Infor HMS, Agilysys or Maestro. On the request side, ALICE, HotSOS or Quore. Write them the way the posting writes them, including the capitalization, and add the version or cloud variant if you know it.
Describe the situation generically and keep the numbers. 'Rebuilt nine guest itineraries during a three-day road closure with no canceled reservations' tells a manager everything about your judgment and names nobody. The same works for medical incidents, lost luggage and ruined celebrations: the category of problem, the scale, what you arranged, and the result. Never the person, the room number or the company they work for.
Requests per shift and the mix by type, the share closed at the desk without escalation, house car runs or transport bookings per day, packages received and released per day for residential work, preference profiles maintained, guest comment card or survey mentions over a stated period, and languages used at the desk. Every one of these is something you either tracked in a system or can reconstruct honestly, which is the test to apply before you write any number.
It is the most common route, and the resume work is to shift the emphasis. Front desk evidence is check-ins per shift, upsells and folio accuracy; concierge evidence is requests sourced, itineraries built and problems that stopped with you. Pull out every instance where you did concierge work from the desk - a reservation you secured, a transport problem you solved, a recurring guest whose preferences you tracked - and give it the volume and the outcome. Add local knowledge concretely, because that is the part a desk role does not automatically prove.
Yes - the full sample above, and all templates on this page. You can assemble your own resume from any of them in the builder for free and see the result; downloading the finished PDF is paid, by subscription or a one-time payment. The builder keeps the layout single column and parseable, which matters because hotel groups and residential management companies screen automatically before anybody human reads the page.
